The Web Poetry Corner - Wesley A. Storer - Poems for the broken heart
Poems for the broken heart
by
Wesley A. Storer
Once there lived a lonely old man
In a cold and distant land
Who wrote poems for the broken heart
With the words at his command
To make all the broken hearts
Feel hope so warm and grand
For this he strove and strived
Like tides upon the sand
It seems his inexperience
Was not equal to the plan
To let him do what he desired
For the poor people of the land
He failed dear friends of starlite
So now it is up to you
To write poems of love and compassion
For even the most wretched of the damned
