The Web Poetry Corner - Wesley A. Storer - Absolutely Less Than Nothing
Absolutely Less Than Nothing
by
Wesley A. Storer
I judge a poem by what it says
Not by the manner in which
It is said
Not by Iambic Pentameters and
the like
Boring meters and cadences
Flaunting repetitive monotonous
redundancies
Invented by people under tyranny
Not free to speak their minds
Their poetry means
Absolutely less than nothing
To me
They are chained to the letter
Of the law
Rather than to the spirit
Of the law
His truth shall set you free
