The Web Poetry Corner - Thomas Leatherbarrow - Unstable past

Unstable past

by

Thomas Leatherbarrow

This pain in me that slowly grows and tears my soul apart
Destroys my hope, my fear, my love its like it was at the start

Way back before you came
silver In my darkest night
sparkling When I cant see anymore
its you that is my light

I write and wish That you can understand
That you could help could lend a hand
For if this not what you could do
I would ask of no-one not even you

My closest friend my missing piece
I feel the end is nigh
I place my hand upon your chest
and gaze forever in your eyes

And in my mind I live out our lives our future planed so clear
In the end it will fall apart and ill lose everything I hold dear
Because its still there and it has the power to make everything disappear
But its not my life my love and my hope but it is the only thing I fear
