The Web Poetry Corner - Thomas Leatherbarrow - The loss of me

The loss of me

by

Thomas Leatherbarrow

Do you not see

Why don’t you see
what I would be

My heart it races , I cant feel my skin
My spine it does shiver and I’m cold within

When I see you I think what to do
And you could be free if you wanted to be

You cannot see my bloodshot eyes
And you will not see the tears that I’ve cried

Cried over you, I know what to do
I’m not wondering free an that’s the loss of me

Now I’m alone again alone with my thoughts of you
Now I can see the past and its just out of reach
Now I’m alone again alone with my thoughts of you
And that torments so that I will never let it go

My heart it races , I cant feel my skin
My spine it does shiver and I’m cold within

When I see you I think what to do
And you could be free if you wanted to be

I sat and I stared deep into your eyes
Knowing you wont see the tears that I’ve cried

Cried over you, well what must I do
I’m not wondering free an that’s the loss of me
