The Web Poetry Corner - Thomas Leatherbarrow - Sanity
Sanity
by
Thomas Leatherbarrow
Where have you gone?
Why have you left me all alone?
I have searched but have yet to find
My sanity, my piece of mind
Why don’t you ring and let me know
Because its hard to let you go
I look at you and stare, I see
That I have lost all sanity
They tell me that they tell me this
But they are yet to feel your kiss
I lay and think alone at night
I wont give up without a fight
The permutations in my brain, ask
Would I rather go insane.
This is something that I know
Because I will never let you go
When you go so inevitably
Maybe one day you will see
My sanity is all but lost
But I wont forget you
Not at any cost.
