The Web Poetry Corner - Thomas Leatherbarrow - Returned
Returned
by
Thomas Leatherbarrow
He’s back,
He’s arrived
He has returned
For so long now he has yearned
But he’s not the same
He’s not concerned
Because
He’s back
He’s better and
He has learned
He’s back
He’s happy that
He’s been made stronger
He won’t be weak any longer
He knows that they have been buried deeper
Way out of everyone’s grasp all except for her
But
He’s back
He’s better
He has returned, and
You’d be afraid
of what he’s learned
NEXT?
Why don't you look at
Music to my ears
