The Web Poetry Corner - Thomas Leatherbarrow - Promise me, when im gone

Promise me, when im gone

by

Thomas Leatherbarrow

have a life thats worthy of living
take your life and dont stop giving
make sure you stay true to yourself
and dont you pander to anyone else

your more worthy than you think
and although you say your at the brink
your not your strong you have that chance
and i could see that from a glance

so when you stand in the summer breeze
and look through pollen at the trees
do not fall down on your knees
i will be there, i will be pleased

do me this favour and carry on
live your life and remain strong
take every chance offered on a plate
and just look past all of your mistakes

so if you stand in that summer breeze
and if you look through the pollen at the trees
if you fall down on your knees
ill always be there, ill always be pleased
