The Web Poetry Corner - Thomas Leatherbarrow - Pointless existence
Pointless existence
by
Thomas Leatherbarrow
I wait for death to find me
wait for him to come
wait for him to knock at my door
with that loaded gun
contemplate my life
and why it had begun
think of my pointless path
while I stare at that loaded gun
I just don’t care any more,
I just don’t give a fuck
I’m fed up of feeling this low
I mean I wrote the god damn book
I sit and stare as I write these words
and burn up in the sun
and taste the metal in my mouth
and eat my loaded gun
one day ill pull the trigger
but that day has not come
so now I wipe my tears
and hide my loaded gun
why cant I do it I just don’t know
maybe its divine intervention
that will not let me go
now the time is here
death smiles and nods his head
so I pull the trigger fall to the floor
in a pool of forgiving red
NEXT?
