The Web Poetry Corner - Thomas Leatherbarrow - Painful Residue
Painful Residue
by
Thomas Leatherbarrow
So is this my sentence for loving you
A dark and painful residue
That no one can see no one can view
And as I look inside myself
the feelings they are dim
But the fact is that they still remain,
they still reside within
I guess that I will never know
what these feelings mean
and why they will not go
Only in my words
Would anyone guess
For to the world I would not confess
And as the tears fall off my face like crystal lined snow
Still in that dreaded waiting room
I know not where to go
Now I move on
And we both wonder who
But is it me left with the painful residue?
I doubt it is I believe that’s you
NEXT?
Why don't you look at
Wandering
