The Web Poetry Corner - Thomas Leatherbarrow - Numb
Numb
by
Thomas Leatherbarrow
Now do you see what you have done
you’ve made me cold
you’ve made me numb
And so it comes around full circle
But did not think that it would hurt so
When you hear people say
what pain they feel day after day
You think and laugh and say how dumb
But congrats you’ve done it you’ve made me numb
I never had many emotions
but you gave me some
Only to take them back and make me numb
So now I’m back right at the start
But of course minus my heart
So did you enjoy your little game
Did you enjoy driving me insane
Let me ask you did you have fun
Let me ask you do you think you won
Well I thank you now for what you’ve done
Because now I’m back
I’m totally numb
NEXT?
