The Web Poetry Corner - Thomas Leatherbarrow - Memories
Memories
by
Thomas Leatherbarrow
Memories of a distant past
Memories that will always last
Memories that we cannot see
Of a not forgotten tragedy
The memories are there they’re painful and real
These thoughts and wishes no one can steal
Memories of that fateful day
Memories that are sure to stay
Memories that haunt my sleep
That wake me up and make me weep
I think to my self what could I have done
If I had tried to change this outcome
Memories of our first kiss
Memories that remind me what I miss
Memories that I cannot let be
For you are in my heart eternally
Would it have made a difference if I have made her care
It does not matter now for she’s not there
Her memory flash’s in my head
I am alone now
she is dead
NEXT?
