The Web Poetry Corner - Thomas Leatherbarrow - Figure

Figure

by

Thomas Leatherbarrow

I cant see what’s truth and what’s fiction
But I know I need to cure this addiction
Need to figure

I’m not crazy but they tell me to sort it out
Its not them or me its you who makes me doubt
I Cant figure

When I sit and think in depth
I think of you and lose my breath
Want to figure

Think of what we could be and
Exactly what you mean to me
Can you figure

I’m not as sure as I once was
But maybe that’s just because
You click your fingers and watch me run
But one day I will not come
Figure it out

That scares and shocks me to the bone
I don’t want you to go through this alone
But I just cant figure you out

I just don’t know where to begin
So ill say this
Just let me in

Then I could figure.
