The Web Poetry Corner - Thomas Leatherbarrow - Fates philosophy
Fates philosophy
by
Thomas Leatherbarrow
Fate has turned and cocked his head
And smile with his last breath
They have taken all that’s dear to me
Him and his friend death
A choice to be made a life to be saved
And one that will not last
Fate makes his judgement and whispers a loud
You cant hold on to the past
Your life’s not yours
For he has control
He’s always there
Hijacked your soul
A smile a glance
A second chance
Fate has given me
I hope that fate has had his fun
Because I know I wont get three
You hear him laugh
As you take a dive
But remember fates the reason your alive
He holds death off
Keeps him at bay
But fate is there he’ll always stay
You cant avoid what’s
Meant to be
The track of life, that’s
Fates philosophy
