The Web Poetry Corner - Thomas Leatherbarrow - Effect of you
Effect of you
by
Thomas Leatherbarrow
My life was just an empty space
My head was full of shit
Everywhere that I look I see your face
And I can say I love it
Your image imprinted in my brain
Designed to drive me insane
Inside I scream pull out my hair
For every second your not there
Is this an obsession
A mere two week thing
Would I ruin a life
For a few month fling
I don’t know if it is
I don’t know if its not
But I can say this
I want what ive not got
There are many things uncertain
There are things left unlearned
But around my thoughts a curtain
Of what I think and have yearned
Your eyes are like the distant stars
Glinting like Jupiter or even mars
Your hair is like the elegant trees
Swaying in the summer breeze
Your face is a picture of sheer perfection
Which is only matched by your reflection
NEXT?
Why don't you look at
The moorhen chirp where rank grass grow
