The Web Poetry Corner - T. J. Daniels - THE FIRST TIME
THE FIRST TIME
by
T. J. Daniels
If I was young again
I'd like to hope
that I'd do things differently.
But I'm afraid that I'd do
just as I have done.
We people are funny that way.
We're always saying
we'd like another chance.
But I'm sure that if we were given that
we'd do just as we did before
because it felt so right the first time.
