The Web Poetry Corner - T. J. Daniels - LINES OF KNOWLEDGE

LINES OF KNOWLEDGE

by

T. J. Daniels

Her face was lined with knowledge
her body showed age.

Her heart had been broken so many times
she kept it encaged.

Her eyes were tired and saddened
as she shuffled through life.

Time had no meaning
just day and night.

Her struggle came to an end one day
her spirit just left.

She's no longer lonely
she died where she slept.
