The Web Poetry Corner - T. J. Daniels - I WONDER WHAT WILL BE

I WONDER WHAT WILL BE

by

T. J. Daniels

I search the distant past
in hopes of finding love
lost somewhere in time.

I know the past
much better than I know the future.

I fear what lies ahead
but not what has already been.

Sometimes
the past can be a comfort.

Though at times
to know what once was
but can never be again...

Makes one wonder

what will be.
