HOTDOGS ON A STICK

I'd love to be eating grapes
plucked from her delicate finger tips.

Or marshmallows
roasted over an open fire
or even hotdogs on a stick.

I'd love to feel her
curled tightly
against my chest.

I'd love to be able to do all of that
but all I can do is sit here and wish

instead.
