When trust is gone,
the spark of love within you dies...
There’ll always be a question,
in your eyes...
And even though what’s gone before,
has gone away...
When trust is gone,
there’s no more left to say...

When trust is gone,
the hopes and dreams just fall apart...
An emptiness consumes your lonely heart...
The darkness of the night replaces
love’s sweet glow...
When trust is gone,
there’s no place love can grow...

When trust is gone,
you live within an empty shell...
You’ve lost the only thing
you knew so well...
And with each dawning day you pray
to right the wrong...
That numbs your very soul,
when trust is gone...
