The Web Poetry Corner - Sunnyone - Nothing Left of You

Nothing Left of You

by

Sunnyone

You knew I’d cry...
You knew I’d beg for one more try...
And all this time, I think you really knew...
That we were wrong...
And never meant to last too long...
So, now this ache might break my soul in two...

Sitting here, and wondering why
you treated me this way...
I would have given you my world,
if only you had stayed...
The lonliness I feel right now can’t hide the bitter truth...
I’ll feel this way until the day
there’s nothing left of you...

You knew my pain...
You left me standing in the rain...
And disappeared just when I needed you...
With no goodbye...
You never gave me reasons why
this heart of mine should break this way for you...

And now I know that I will never
be in love again...
You took away my hopes and dreams,
and left me at the end...
You never even sent me one last kiss to see me through...
But one day I’ll be done,
and there’ll be nothing left of you...
