Who’s your favorite poet/singer?
Mine is Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues,
and this is a little tribute to the man that writes
and sings the songs!

I sit here listening to the Moody Blues_
His voice is singing in the thoughts that
roll around my mind_
I listen to his songs about the roads
that we must choose_
And the possibilities of what I’ll
surely find_

The melodies reach out to kiss my ears_
Then touch my heartstrings,
plucking them with love, in perfect tune_
All thoughts on him, heart skips a beat,
I dream his presence near_
He sings me to the stars,
beyond the moon_

Enraptured dreams, but ne’er reality_
As Moody Blues and I drift
in a soft, ethereal space_
The music wraps me in a velvet cloak,
of fantasy_
As I close my eyes,
to gaze upon his face_
