Just let me WRITE!

Contemplation necessitates the writing of the word_
Through the mind, and out the pen,
with small chance of being heard...
Share the finished product that I’ve taken,
from my soul...
Rejection from those near just leaves me
feeling lost and cold...

Writing is to me a very old, familiar friend...
I wrote in the beginning...
Let me write up to the end...
I’ve tried to stop the process just to please,
and keep the peace...
But there are times I wish the harsh critiques
would simply cease!

I strive to keep things running smoothly,
do more than my part...
While deep inside my muse is playing games,
within my heart...
I need to let my feelings out,
I know that I must write...
The only time allowed me are the hours,
before daylight...

And now...to the dilemma...
Will it always be this way?
Should I give up the thing I love,
to keep harsh words at bay?
I stand alone and wonder...
My dilemma shrinks from view...
A writer writes...that’s what she does...
And shall until she’s through...
