The Web Poetry Corner - Sunnyone - Endings

Endings

by

Sunnyone

A time to say goodbye...
A time allowed to cry...
A waving of the hand...
A finish of your plan...
Some welcome, some are not...
The end of battles fought...
A time to recollect...
There’s nothing to object...
What’s known becomes what’s gone...
No dream to carry on...
Unknown, therefore afraid...
The sacrifice is made...
The stopping of the chain...
The ceasing of the pain...
The flood of tears to cry...
Until the eyes run dry...
All living things must die...
But still we must deny...
And new life carries on...
Push out the old, be gone...
The circle comes full turn...
The lesson fully learned...
There really are no endings...
Only new beginnings...
