I need to feel your gentle hand_
My body aches to feel your body near_
These eyes look every day for you_
These lips both whisper "I love you"_
I’d sell my soul right now to have you near_

I’m desperately in love with you_
There’s not a thing that I can do_
My heart starts racing when I hear your name_
My love is there for all to see_
The shame is I don’t know if we
will ever fan our spark into a flame_

If I could only touch your face_
Just once through all this time and space_
The walls between would break themselves apart_
You’d find the love I keep inside_
It’s too much love for me to hide_
It’s waiting here_
within
my Desperate Heart_
