The Web Poetry Corner - Sunnyone - All I ask from you is Time

All I ask from you is Time

by

Sunnyone

Don’t buy me presents...
Don’t pay my bills...
Don’t think your money
can pay for your thrills...
Yes, I am wanting,
but I will be fine...
You ask what’s my pleasure?
it’s more of your time...

Time is more worthy
if given in trust...
It makes up in measure
for pleasure and lust...
We never can own it,
but give it the same...
And play it through life,
like it’s dice in a game...

So, give me a minute...
an hour or two...
Give it to me, and I’ll
share it with you...
I’m here, and I’m waiting,
it’s no easy task...
To spend time together,
is all that I ask...
