The Web Poetry Corner - Stephan Hovell - Right in my livingroom.
Right in my livingroom.
by
Stephan Hovell
I saw it on The Oprah show,
all that good advice,
then my wife left me,
that part wasn`t nice.
I was watching Dr.Phil,
the wisdom in his words,
now my son takes drugs,
and whistles with the birds.
That David Letterman's right,
he could tell you how to vote,
he knows crime is out of hand,
and if a thing will float.
Homer Simpson makes me laugh,
hilarious truth cartoon,
an average mans typical thoughts,
most kids leave home too soon.
Matha Stewarts finishing touch,
home baking halves the price,
we all know she,s just a fraud,
yet still we think she`s nice.
I don`t like TV cop shows,
like CSI Miami or NYPD Blues,
if life was really like that,
the crooks could never lose.
I love to watch the evening news,
I swear by every syllable,
I allways hope for something good,
oh god,I must sound gullible.
