The Web Poetry Corner - Stephan Hovell - Part and Parcel
Part and Parcel
by
Stephan Hovell
I used to be young, but I`m not anymore,
I`ve never been rich,so I`m still poor,
some people like me,some people don`t,
most people love me,there`s a few that won`t,
I take what life offers me,a little or a lot,
I never stand on others, with the boots I`ve got,
it`s good to play games, and feel for some fun,
life`s so austere,when you`re under the gun,
I don`t have much talent,or flare to call on,
but I`m free to dance,to a groovy hit song,
things can seem bright, but sometimes I wonder,
are the grey cloudy days, some heavenly blunder?
I use my head,as a guide for my heart,
though they are seperate, they each play a part.
NEXT?
Why don't you look at
your fight for life
