Shuffle the deck,deal them round,

we`re all agreed,by hoyle we`re bound,

left of the deal,sets the stake,

the chance in the buy,and a hand to make.

First guy buys one,the second takes three,

next guy takes two,a swinger maybe,

the dealer himself,only takes one,

time to be weary,is the rule of thumb.

Now everyones got them,close to the chest,

first man goes high,but are his the best,

next guy just looks,but he only bought two,

I thought he was swinging,how about you?.

What about the guy,who only bought one?

if he kicks it along,we`re in for some fun,

now comes the thought,he might try a bluff,

do you keep him honest,and test out his stuff.

I`ve squeezed and squeezed,yes! the third hook,

so I know I`m good,for at least a wee look,

no one`s yet folded,we`re all in the mix,

we`ll see who holding,if somebody kicks.

First man folds,this proves that he missed,

the next guy stays,so what`s in his fist?

the guy that bought two,still comes along,

I`ll say he holds three,but not too strong.

Wooops there it goes,yours and five more,

it`s the damn dealer,that held on to four,

how are my hooks,joe,jack and john,

do I say look,or should I be gone?.

That sizeable ante,that I helped build,

the trouble is,he may have filled,

there goes that other guy,too rich for him,

still two to squeeze,and what about jim.

Unlucky me,with no fourth jack comeing,

but two threes make six,you do your summing,

you guessed it,I`ve filled,I raise it mate,

he`s breathing funny,like he`s four to the eight.

He says I`ll look,so I know I`ve won,

too good for lookers,who only bought one.
