Live and Learn

Longing looks,well worded books,

things that make us think,

when you are nervous,on tender hooks

you baulk,at a torrid brink,

things will test you,from the deep end,

comes time,to test your starch,

find your way back,around a big bend,

fear,a losers path to march,

drifting clouds and dancing flames,

gaze long,and gather our thoughts,

time will play,some funny old games,

these mental,not physical sports,

lifes years go by,in calendar months,

things we do the mean while,

you ride a lot,of dips and bumps,

adding character to your smile,

hot times cool down,to smouldering embers,

some tunes will be our favourites,

each wonders if,the other remembers,

the happier,and the grave bits.

some things you are told,some you work out,

for knowledge,we thirst and yearn,

only know so much,we all love our doubt,

and some of us live and learn.
