The Web Poetry Corner - Stephan Hovell - Bodhisattva
Bodhisattva
by
Stephan Hovell
It could have been all yours,
but you know,the greater cause,
a ticket to the angels ball,
tear it up,and let it fall,
heed the message so sublime,
all do hear, yet pay no mind,
such crucial work,earns no pay,
some will learn,I hope some day,
all that is left, the empty shell,
a rescued straggler,you did well,
Who are you so self appointed?,
save a world that dissappointed,
Is there someone you appease?,
did not care,to give you please,
you who shoulders such a task,
who assists?you do not ask,
all in time to see the proof,
though great the cause, men stay aloof.
