The Web Poetry Corner - Stephan Hovell - A Skin Full
A Skin Full
by
Stephan Hovell
I like to drink, good lager beer,
and get so drunk,I start to swear,
good excuse,to act all crude,
and blame a drink, that someone brewed,
raise my glass, and propose a toast,
flick ash on the floor, and start to boast,
act all sober,with bloodshot eyes,
nearly passed out,still telling lies,
belch and ask, whos round it is,
drink it flat,without the fizz,
I can stand, and drink all night,
ten beers in I`m look`n to fight,
become aggressive,without good cause,
wake up face down,on hotel floors,
borrow cash,and say my shout,
hope the wife hasn`t,locked me out,
I have so much,it makes me sick,
fumble at the urinal,to find my prick,
what the hell,I love that stuff,
if it comes out my ears,I`ve had enough.
