The Web Poetry Corner - Sekhem Psikor Strecker - Enough

Enough

by

Sekhem Psikor Strecker

DON’T touch me
Nor brush your lips AGAINST my CHEEK
Don’t you wrap ME in your arms
And TELL me everything’s OKAY
DON’T crush me
Nor suffocate me IN your LOVE
I’m not SURE I appreciate it
But I’m sure I’ve had ENOUGH

And it’s my fault
I suffer in my own consequence
Fling me in freefall forever
And it’s not okay
It’s not my way
No, never

DON’T touch me
Nor BRUSH your hands against my BODY
Don’t WHISPER me with SWEET words
And TRY to make everything OKAY
DON’T crush me
Nor suffocate me IN your LOVE
I’m not SURE I appreciate it
But I’m sure I’ve had ENOUGH
