The Web Poetry Corner - Satish Kakri - Time

Time

by

Satish Kakri

Value of time is little known;
For time’s inherent wealth,
Scanty respect is shown.

Any other possession; if
You loose.
You can hope to get it back,
If you choose.

Wealth of time
Will never return;
Simple lesson though,
Most humans don’t ever learn.

For time if lost, is lost forever
Same for the stupid, and the clever.
Yet if asked, how much
You value your time;
Often you find that you care less.
With invaluable time
Often you make a mess.

You regret your mistakes
Committed in the past.
And for futures’ sake
Worry your tasks.
What about the present
You seem to forget
Though ‘present’ is the best time, I bet.

Every moment of time you must use
Achieving anything, you may choose.
