The Web Poetry Corner - Satish Kakri - Temple

Temple

by

Satish Kakri

Music mixed with sounds
Of small soft fingers striking the drum
Melodious voices of main singers rebound
In the room, while the rest hummed.
Unique devotional instruments
Were used to create the rhythmic sound:
Small ones were caught in hands
Others, big, placed on ground.
Big portrait of Lord Krishna
Placed in the middle of main wall;
Was fully garlanded with fresh flowers;
Sunlight from the window enhanced its
Grandeur and made it look tall.
Sweet small of incense heightened
The holiness of the hall.
