The Web Poetry Corner - Satish Kakri - Remember

Remember

by

Satish Kakri

At the end of the working day,
Starting journey back home I say,
My honest prayer to you Mother Divine,
I see in my mind your Brightness shine.

I recall all that did happen,
Also the day's tasks left undone.
The day's results affirm my belief,
On my appeal you came to my relief.

My stupidity only makes me forget,
The rules, for devotees, that you have set.
Whoever earnestly invokes your grace,
Dire difficulties he can easily face.

Why then still I ever ignore,
To seek your help, make performance pure.
I implore to my mind to remind,
Your ceaseless presence I must always find.
