Human Birth
by
Satish Kakri
Said He, the Almighty to Arjuna
"You have been born many times before
And so have I; this is the knowledge core
You don’t know now, your yester-births
Purpose of your previous life, its turmoils or mirths
I, the Omniscient, do know whatever happened then,
For the continuity of humanity what to do, and when.
So I come to be amidst my ' human creation' great
A life which can achieve anything; doesn’t have to wait.
For this creation of mine has features unique
With least-efforts; one can conquer spiritual peak
Of perfection that draws you closer to Me
Salvation you achieve as salvation can be"
(translated in English from the great epic The Gita)
