The Web Poetry Corner - Satish Kakri - Digression

Digression

by

Satish Kakri

We all work
All the time
At times with physical abilities
Often, with only our mind.

Strange thought it may sound
Intellect not invoked, is mostly not around
To guide our actions
Towards our goals.
For our mental processes
Assume different roles

Forgetting that our time is limited.
With no scope to waste a bit
We digress and do what our ego want
To forbid anyone
To remark about ability to a job.

And say, "You can’t !"
