Dejection, due to decisions past,
Inaction, invariably it breeds.
Stops initiative; your mind, you don’t apply
Promotes pessimism; to downfall, it leads.

Cheerful, you must always remain
Walking through life’s terrible lane
Cheer or remorse is not
Inflicted from without.
It is your attitude, your mind’s clout.

Be prepared for any eventualities
In the jaunty journey of your life.
Fortune’s favours or brutalities,
Your own struggle or strife
Take all, happily in a stride.
