The Web Poetry Corner - Samantha M Jones - Yesterdays dreams

Yesterdays dreams

by

Samantha M Jones

How quickly the time passes by
As your dreams sadly wither and die
They become just a lost memory
Never being what you'd hoped they'd be
Still we cling to that part of our past
In the hope that success comes at last
But it's never the way that it seems
And you're left with yesterdays dreams
