The Web Poetry Corner - Roy Wayne Crouch - Empty Doll House

Empty Doll House

by

Roy Wayne Crouch

Little girl’s doll house,
Someone’s entered in.
Corrupted her dream world,
This dissolute friend.

The smile as they hold her,
The sickest of kin.
Touching her places,
She don’t under-stand.

With no understanding,
She senses no alarm.
Keeping this secret,
Seeing no harm.

As she grows older,
These things that they do.
Now seem confusing,
Her trust is in you.

Then it happens,
You go way too far.
Her mind now seems distant,
Her soul you have scarred.

She’s lost too a secret,
Empty doll house she stays.
You have taken her dream world,
And thrown it away.
