The Web Poetry Corner - Roy Wayne Crouch - All Alone

All Alone

by

Roy Wayne Crouch

I’ve watched you from a distance
You’re always on my mind
I need you as a comforter
For this broken heart of mine

You’re everything I’ve dreamed of
And hope you understand
I don’t need another lover
But instead I need a friend

As I try to tell you
What’s bottled up in me?
I’m hurt, scared and all alone
Yet, no one seems to see

I know that I’m in trouble
And have no place to go
Now added to my problems
To drugs I’ve lost control

You wonder what my problem is
Just looking into my eyes
I’m the man, who’s tired of living
But to scared of hell to die

Now I choose to be alone
To you my love in true
You dealt me pain and sorrow
And yet, I still love you
