The Web Poetry Corner - Ron Bliss - An Apology
This morning when I spoke with you
You seemed to be depressed.
Then foolishly, the words I chose,
Were not among the best.
I angered you without good cause,
I quickly felt remorse.
And now the thing that I must do is
Apologize of course.
I'm sorry when I say those things
That makes you fuss and fret,
And when I do, I'm instantly
Filled with so much regret.
But you are usually good enough
And kind in every way,
To overlook the fool I make,
With many things I say.
I want to let you know that I
Am much in love with you,
And I need your forgiveness for
The silly things I do.
