The Web Poetry Corner - Robert Cameron Hazelton - The Verdict: Act II - Confined

The Verdict: Act II - Confined

by

Robert Cameron Hazelton

Slowly sinking deeper,
Escape can never be.
Why was I chosen...
Is it somehow my destiny?

Accusation still rings in my ears,
Supporting all my fears,
Guilt was offered until I could take no more.
It’s a sad day for Justice,
When the crime has been repeated,
I tremble as they close and lock the door.
