The Web Poetry Corner - Robert Cameron Hazelton - Dreams of Death
Dreams of Death
by
Robert Cameron Hazelton
Sell your soul for a substantial sum,
More than you’ll ever know.
Chained and locked behind the surface of
Evil’s tarnished door - it shines no more.
The burning blackness envelops you
With rapture and finesse,
Your mind has a try at lashing back,
With little or no success.
Hope you soon repress,
And love you can’t express,
As the sentence you are serving
Fills your heart with dreams of death.

eventide
