The Web Poetry Corner - Robert Cameron Hazelton - Don't Hold Back

Don't Hold Back

by

Robert Cameron Hazelton

Even though
‘Twas just a year ago,
It seems a lifetime away.

The pain has subsided
A new love’s relighted
The darkness you left in your wake.

I don’t know if I’m dreaming
If I should be believing
This good fortune I’ve been bestowed.

Yet, if I hesitate
Her love may abate
And once again I’ll be left all alone.
