Caution
by
Richard James Van Der Draaij
To the wind, if possible,
Unnerve your deepest self, resist
your feeble little notions,
those tensions pressed down
by intruding life..
I watched a train pulling an elephant;
tired from carrying the world's dreams,
its mega-memory like lead on grey shoulders.
In turn it blew its horn to save the train its whistle.
