The Web Poetry Corner - Richard Betts Jr. - Twilight

Twilight

by

Richard Betts Jr.

The daylight dies.
The leaves float to the ground.
The house is hollow and empty,
Devoid of any sound.

The sun vanishes,
As dusk gives birth to night.
The impending darkness denotes
The twilight of my life.
