Soul

Hearts beat only for a lifetime.
And there is not guarantee
Of longevity in life.

Lifetimes vary.
But a soul . . .
Ah, a soul lasts forever.

Even when life fails
And falls from this Earth,
Souls continue to soar.

So in my lifetime,
However long or short that may be,
I would like to be not only

A part of your life,
But I sincerely hope to share your soul . . .
And soar with you forever.
