I wish I could change the world for you,
And save you from life's pain.
I wish I could save the world for you,
And spare you from life's flames.

Since it is my job to help you grow,
I hope to teach what you will need to know.

I will teach you right from wrong;
To be gentle, but be strong.

I will teach you to have faith and passion;
To maintain your mercy and compassion.

I will teach you discipline and respect, in time,
And to be thoughtful, loving, good and kind.

I will teach you to be honest and loyal;
To be true to yourself in all your toils.

I will teach you what my
Mother and father taught their little ones,
And maybe someday,
You will teach your sons.
