The Web Poetry Corner - Plo - The Fugitive

The Fugitive

by

Plo

Bela Bartok's style. Some critics say one of his work characterizes 'an eerie, diabolic quality'./
I remember his etudes from music school times.
He was different. Non-classical. Imprisoned in school, mahogany piano.
Nowadays Bartok jumps out of my compact disc player.
I chase the runaway. Double-quick. Escapes unrhythmically. Hides under the tv set.

We pass cannibal dancers' village successfully. We are ahead of jogging Gershwin.

Fall into river,
We pass waterfalls happily,
Fall into the 20. century Atlantic...
Young Statue of Liberty! Vigorous morning.

Bela Bartok's style. Some critics say he is 'widely regarded as one of the most innovative of 20th-century composers'./
In my opinion 'Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion' is free from diabolic quality.
Nowadays Bartok is a heavenly player. His work is full of freedom.

I'm not effective policeman. The fugitive bribes me every time and escapes from chase.
